FY1 SJT Question Bank

Situational Judgement Test preparation for the SFP/FPAS. This bank is being rebuilt and is not currently available.

This bank is not available yet. SJT questions are answered by ranking or selecting several responses, and we are still building the marking for that properly, so we have taken it down rather than mark answers incorrectly. If you are preparing for the Foundation Programme SJT, the PSA bank is live and the two are often revised together.

About the FY1 SJT exam

The Situational Judgement Test (SJT) assesses the professional attributes expected of a foundation doctor, using ranking and multiple-select scenarios rather than single-best-answer questions. Marking those formats fairly needs partial credit, which MedPrep does not yet support, so this bank has been withdrawn until it does.

Who it's for

Final-year medical students preparing for the Foundation Programme SJT.

Exam format

Ranking and multiple-select scenarios testing professionalism, prioritisation and communication.

Frequently asked questions

Can I practise FY1 SJT questions on MedPrep?

Not at the moment. SJT questions are answered by ranking responses or selecting several, and we are still building the partial-credit marking that needs. Rather than mark answers incorrectly, we have taken the bank down until it works properly.

When will the FY1 SJT bank be available?

There is no date yet. It needs a ranked answering interface and partial-credit scoring, and we would rather ship it late than ship it wrong.

What can I use in the meantime?

The Prescribing Safety Assessment (PSA) bank is live with 1,300 questions and is usually revised alongside the SJT in final year.
